Integrating Ticketify with Jira: A Step-by-Step Guide (Coming Soon)

Exciting Integrations on the Horizon!

We know that seamless integration with your existing tools is crucial. One of our top priorities is building direct integrations with popular project management platforms, and Jira is at the top of the list!

How Will It Work?

Our goal is to make pushing tickets to Jira as simple as clicking a button. After generating a ticket in Ticketify:

  1. Connect Your Jira Account: You'll securely authenticate your Jira instance (Cloud or Server/Data Center, TBD) with Ticketify.
  2. Select Project & Issue Type: Choose the target Jira project and the appropriate issue type (Bug, Task, Story, Epic) for your generated ticket.
  3. Field Mapping (Optional): We aim to provide options for mapping Ticketify's generated fields (Summary, Description, Priority, etc.) to your custom Jira fields.
  4. Push to Jira: Click 'Send to Jira', and Ticketify will create the issue directly in your selected project.

Current Status & Alternatives

While the direct integration is under development, you can still easily use Ticketify with Jira:

  • Copy/Paste: Generate the ticket in Ticketify, click the 'Copy' button, and paste the content directly into Jira's description field.
  • Export Text: Use the 'Export' button to download a
    .txt
    file and attach it or copy content from there.
